TJD Models

The shop opened, just off of J3 of the M25, in 2004. Originally selling only RC Aircraft, within a few months they had begun to support scale modellers, their range of kits from Airfix and other manufacturers soon growing until it now occupies more than half the shop.
During lockdown, they not only survived  but thrived, operating by means of a table across the Doorway, allowing customers to collect pre-ordered items.
The shop is a veritable 'Aladdin's Cave', with completed RC aircraft hanging from the ceiling including, until it was sold, the Flying model Edgeley Optica which featured in the 1989 film 'Slipstream'
Today, TJD Models not only carries the full range of Airfix kits but also many, more obscure, brands, along with the materials to complete them plus raw materials for conversion and scratch building.
In addition to the Shop, they offer an extensive mail-order business.
They also support many local model clubs and provide  repair services for RC models.
The staff are always knowledgeable and helpful; whether you're an experienced modeller or just starting out in the hobby, you are assured of a warm welcome.
