"A love, not just a business"

Saving a beloved shop to whom we were customers to from closure we took over the model shop "Our Place" in 2022. Where model shops to some are seen as history we are determined in giving this shop a go and to reverse this trend as we found that people still appreciate a good model shop rather than going online.

In our 2 and half years in business from a humble start we have now built up our business to stock a large range range products both new and pre-owned for Model Railway, Slot Car, Plastic Model Kit and Die-Cast Enthusiast and we like to stock something unsual.

We are a traditional looking model shop but with a bit youth on our side have a modern way of thinking as we operate a very update website and are very active on social media celebrating over a 1000 followers. With two generations of family manning the shop we love that our image is being family run but also very friendly when the novice does not feel intimidated or judged.

Model hobbies has a very strong personnel link to Matt's mental wellbeing  and this business has a lot of love behind it's purpose.
