Have you modified your .INI file as documented on previous forum threads on this topic. You need to do this .INI file modification AS WELL as downloading and installing the VERY LATEST Railmaster from the link located at the top of this section of the forum.

.

This is the reason that HRMS have added a 'COG' clickable icon in the Help Window of the latest RM version to make modifying the .INI file easier.

Mr C, have you downloaded and installed the latest version from the link at the top of the RM forum?  You must use this link to get the latest.  You'll know once you've installed it as you will see the cog wheel in the Help window.

You have told us you have Com3 and 115,200 in Setup but have you gone into Wndows Device Manager to check that it is set to these values too?  These two must match.

In addition to my last, you finally have to use the cog wheel to edit your Railmaster.ini file and ensure it contains these 2 lines:

 Check controller=1

and

Alternative comms=1

Make sure you type these exactly and don't include any extra spaces.

If you have done everything in my last 2 posts and it is still not working, then email HRMS from within the Help window of RM and report what you have done and what problems you are still having.

"mrcrazy" As you are aware, we have provided step-by-step help through emails over the last few weeks.

Again, all you need to do it to click on the small cog symbol in the Help/About screen to edit the RailMaster.ini settings.  If you do not see this cog simply download and install the latest version of RailMaster from www.powerpos.com/rail-master/rm_setup.exe over your existing one.

Add the lines "Check controller=1" and "Alternative comms=1" on two separate lines in the RailMaster.ini file (without the quotes) and press the green tick to save it.  Then restart RailMaster and ensure you have set the correct Com port number and BAUD rate in both RailMaster's settings and the Windows Device Manager (under LPT and Com heading).

That is all you need to do and you should find that everything is fine.
