Fearners
Hello,Got my mallard live steam out of the box today after a while and soon remembered why I put it away the first time! The wheels seem to be able to do 2 rotations when pushed then they reach a point of high resistance. And under steam this 2 rotations turns to about a 20th of a rotation.Any ideas how this might have come about?
Go_West
Hiif the wheels turn when cold but lock up when the regulator is open then it looks like a valve timing problem and would need to send it back to Hornby.

Go_West
Sorry for that mixup just an old git getting wrong again?lets try again what I was going to say was the small screw on the valve shaft dose come loose some times so check it out it needs to be locked on the drive shaft in the position of the first flat notch the screw that I'm referring to is the one on its own in the picture below that is the long screw that you see here to the left /media/tinymce_upload/3e5c3e825d4e74de4d3f9bb4a1fd3543.jpg
