I have an R350 A4 from the early 1980s and have recently built a layout using modern track.

Unfortunately the tender derails sometimes when running over points. Is there a cost effective way of changing the tender wheels and if necessary the locomotive wheels; or should I buy a current A4?

The R350 A4 was built to run on 100 guage track old Series 6, so should run on modern 100 guage track, it could be the tender is to light. it could also be that the pionts need a little fettling, there have been a number of forum threads complaning about derailments on the modern points.
