Jonathan Mock
This rather weathered Bloodhound resides at Wells Reclamation in Somerset - what a great weathering project though! Recreating all that grime and flaking paint would be a challange. http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww195/jonathanmock/12FC7177-C7EE-4851-A020-69BE4893B21A_zpsqrjhomcp.jpghttp://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww195/jonathanmock/6305A807-6C5C-4B1C-A594-2D9566A94645_zpsua4wfop9.jpg http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww195/jonathanmock/AF338AF0-7259-4F6C-9536-BC681ABE9695_zpsbdjvznbs.jpg
david_fleming
Not knowing anything about Bloodhounds, is that a mk 1 or a mk 2?
Jonathan Mock
Not sure, I'll try and read some of the stencilling to see what it says. I would guess, by the colour scheme, it may be a Mk.I but that's just a guess.
david_fleming
Cool. A 1/72nd mk 2 would be nice to go with the existing mk
Drewe Manton
This does seem to be a perrenial favourite, wonder if they've thought of revisiting it?
peebeep
I think only the Mk I's were in anti flash white. The Mk II's are noticeably longer, about 750mm and the one pictured looks like the shorter Mk I. If you can get to measure it, a Mk I is 7.7m. Jonathan Mock
Didn't Renwal do a 1/24 kit that FROG later reboxed? Not been seen in decades now, pity as that's a nice size for a Bloodhound.

peebeep
Flightpath still have their 1/32 Bloodhound on the catalogue. Not cheap but probably cheaper than bidding for a Frog 1/24 kit! Lines and Hellstrom don't record the Frog Bloodhound as Renwal tooling, although they identify other kits from this period as being so.

Ratch
I've built a few of the Airfix kits and I recall having at least a couple of Corgi diecast Bloodhounds, but I can't help thinking that their appeal must be increasingly limited
Harold Smith
I like the way the stainless steel cones in the intakes are still shiny despite the state of the rest of it.It's definately a Mk.I BTW. The Mk.II had a sleeve/nozzle on the back of the ramjets that was a slightly wider diameter than the rest of it.
