mr.postman
hi everyone, I have obtained a few old teak coaches, they are the railroad type! But the body on two of them are badly scratched! Can anyone recommend a paint colour from humbrol maybe, which would be a good match? Thanx in advance....
Postman Prat
Hi Postie I'm not going to recommend a colour but will point out that 'teak' colour is variable with all of them being correct. Look at the variety of colour on varnished doors, on your round and you'll see what I mean. Fading, weathering all have an effect. If you're anywhere near the Severn Valley and North Yorks Moors line have a look at their 'Teak Trains'. Hope you don't get too worn out due to the Xmas Pressure! mr.postman
Thanx pp worn out already lol! I agree with what you say about the teaks, and I have thought of just weathering them! But I just wandered if there was an easy fix! Enjoy your Xmas mate!
Postman Prat
I've enjoyed my Xmas's since I retired in 2013. Got a nice little security job 6-10 days a month and better still - I only work when I want to!! Have a good one and I hope you do all right on the 'cash thank you front'
