Carltonf
Hi, sorry, this may have been asked elsewhere, but can't see it on any search results.Does anyone know if the new Thomas-range tender engines are still tender driven, or have then been re-engineered with locomotive drive? Also, to Hornby, perhaps you could update the technical specs to answer this, and change the wheel configurations so they don't all say 0-6-0!! Please.
walkingthedog
According to Gaugemaster they are tender drive.

Bugman1
Having bought both Edwards and Henry I can confirm that Henry is definately loco drive. Edward is tender drive but seems to have a nice smooth can motor rather than the older ringfield type and you wouldnt know he was tender drive from the way he runs and sounds on the track.
