Braille Dave
I always fancied an Aviation Traders Carvair... Or a Aerospace Lines Super Guppy... My two biggest kits were the Monogram B36 Peacemaker, and the Heller Boeing B707-320c (as is proper- in BOAC colours). Both 'the one true scale', of course... Yug
The Flying Fortress would be top for me, closely followed by a Liberator. The yanks sure knew how to defend thier planes.
Yug
If you want big - what about that one Howard Hughes made with 8 engines ?
Dad Paul B
Yug - Sounds like the 'Spruce Goose' flying boat. Flown once by Hughes but never put into production. There was a Dornier Do-X flying boat with 10 engines with push and pull props. And how about the Britsol Brabazon - an absolute monster which never made it past the prototype. I used to work in the shadow of the hangars that were built especially for it - visible from the A38 as you go through Filton. Our office had a window looking out onto the runway (which was just the other side of the railway from Bristol Parkway to the Docks. The embankment obscured the lower part of the planes but the F-111s got airborne right in front of us. The Guppys were quite a sight - you saw the body and then a fin just behind it, a whale being chased by a shark. Guppy Spotters News was a joke in our group (there were 4 by the way). I think they were developed from the B-29/Stratocruiser for NASA.How about some of the Soviet bombers - Bear, Blackjack

Dad Paul B
Wow!. Now that is a monster. Something you would expect in a Jules Verne novel or Miyazaki film (Castle in the Sky or Howl's Moving Castle). I don't think I have ever come across this one in all my years reading about planes (Purnell were a key source for pictures). This really looks like an attempt to make a flying battleship. vimal_indrasoma
Sure it's not something out of 'Sky Crawlers'?I've seen pictures of the flying tank they made, but this takes the biscuit. Oops, there it is on page 266 of Jim Winchester's 'The World's Worst Aircraft' under 'Construction Disasters' !

nmcabecadas
The K7 bomber did exist, but was not the plane above. The pictures above are from the famous "K7 heavy bomber hoax" who can be easily found with any search engine.
