Drewe Manton
Apart from the antenna wire from Ushi Van Der Rosten this is SFTB - even the eing tip lights were done using pieces cut from the kit's clear sprue! So WYSIWYG. Cracking little model, this is the series one boxing, decals and all. painted with a mixture of IPP and Mr Color lacquers, final finish is Vallejo. Weathering with oils and some pigments, but a quick, clean build as I like them. About seven day's work.http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s463/Dmanton300/airfix%2072nd%20hurricane%2085sqdn/18_zps1xicnx2g.jpghttp://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s463/Dmanton300/airfix%2072nd%20hurricane%2085sqdn/19_zpswxhzj9ku.jpghttp://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s463/Dmanton300/airfix%2072nd%20hurricane%2085sqdn/20_zpsxe93gfd4.jpghttp://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s463/Dmanton300/airfix%2072nd%20hurricane%2085sqdn/21_zps5exzglbs.jpghttp://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s463/Dmanton300/airfix%2072nd%20hurricane%2085sqdn/22_zpsomotfrg7.jpghttp://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s463/Dmanton300/airfix%2072nd%20hurricane%2085sqdn/24_zpsiii1zti3.jpghttp://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s463/Dmanton300/airfix%2072nd%20hurricane%2085sqdn/25_zpsdpl5mvvt.jpghttp://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s463/Dmanton300/airfix%2072nd%20hurricane%2085sqdn/26_zpsmcbvumzv.jpg
david_fleming
Nice, so many colour scheme variations for these early Hurricanes! Wish someone did white underwing serials for the immediate pre war ones though.

Jonathan Mock
The same 85 Sqn aircraft was the subject of the first 1/48 Airfix kit some 35 years ago, but recent researches have suggested that it was a rag-wing aircraft rather than a metal winged one, as evidenced by the shape of the access panels on the wing. Mike Grant
Typical flawless DM finish. What is IPP?
Drewe Manton
Typical flawless DM finish. What is IPP?Thanks Mike. IPP is a brand of lacquer based paint from South Korea - basicallythe same as Mr Color in terms of performance and use, gives superb silky smooth tight coats. Fighter Pilot
Neat job mate. I love Mr Color but Mr. Paint is rapidly becoming my favourite.
