Cackey
Just received my loooooooong awaited collectors club BoB model and desperately trying to separate the tender chassis from the body in order to fit decoder. Carefully following the instructions as per Fig's 8 & 9 of the supplied instruction sheet and cannot begin to disengage the 2 parts. Is their anybody out there who has succeeded?Cackie
SteveM6
I managed it after a bit of a fight!Undo the screws underneath and ease the rear of the tender body up. I had to slide a very thin blade between body and chassis to stop it snapping back into place but then I managed to in lip the front by pulling the whole body backwards - it gives up with a big click! You will snap the steps off though - can't be avoided. sparrow hawk
If it's the same as the winston Churchill loco in the funeral set ,I believe the instructions are wrong , you need to ease the tender body up from the screw end( rear of the tender), then pull back, it is tight but I managed it , But as Steve has said ,I also broke on of the steps. Cackey
Many thanks to both Steve & Roy.You are certainly correct in saying that the supplied instructions are wrong, as it is necessary to ease the tender body up from the rear (screw end) then pull back.Once mastered I was able to fit the decoder, reassemble, programme and successfully run this lovely model in record time. Thanks once again for your invaluable help.Cackey
