Blagard
I have a Scalextric Ferrari F430GT with one tail light out, looking at the board the LED is obviously broken so I just need to get another surface mounted LED to replace it. I just don't know what type to order! Does anyone know the spec used?I can get 50 x Superbright 0603 SMD Surface Mounted Red LED Emitting Diode DC 1.9-2.1V for under £1.50 However I don't know if the 0603 is right as there are others. Not for the fainthearted as the micro soldering has to be done under a magnifying lens! Blagard
With no-one any wiser I have ordered some LED's in the hope they will do the job. The main thing is getting the physical size right and then being able to tell the + and - ends to solder.
Mikes P
How did it go please, considering doing some LED light upgrades to some of my cars. I'm guessing they have to be 12v though.
Andy P.
I'm guessing they have to be 12v though. Not necessarily. You can solder resistors on to drop voltage.
