breadboard Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I have just purchased a TTS class 47, which is very good but I can only get the first 8 F numbers. I have been told that as I am using an old select controller it needs updating. How do I do this.
Flashbang Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Contact Hornby Customer Service (by phone ideally) and obtain a repair / return number then send it to Hornby for upgrading. http://www.hornby.com/uk-en/contact There is I understand a small charge for this work of I believe £15.00. It should be returned to you with the very latest firmware V1.5 which allows F0 to F28 functions.
RDS Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Does anyone have a full list of the changes from v1.0 to v1.5
96RAF Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Not a comprehensive list RDS but early revisions sorted out the points decoder addressing offset problem versus the Elite and later revisions added the full range of function buttons, along with the way the various selections of loco and accessory control and various programming actions were done.the only exact way would be to read each versions manual page versus page and note the differences.
RDS Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 @RAF96Thanks. I was just wondering whether it was worth getting my Select updated. I only use it as an Elite Walkabout but the lack of being able to enter a Loco id of >59 is a bit of a nuisance. I only use 2 digits and take the number from the Class of Loco, so currently I cannot call up my class 70 or 66.
Fishmanoz Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 That won't change with the update I don't think RDS because 60-99 will remain accessory decoder ports.
