Built SFTB, this was from the 1989 boxing, decals and all. I have a soft spot for this kit - more state of the ark than state of the art, but it offered a box crammed with bits and was the first new (ish) Airfix kit under Humbrol.

Nice work. We really need a decent 1/72 Buccaneer, options for both RAF and Fleet Air Arm and open bomb bay. I looked at this one on a stall at a show but passed. The fuselage detail was limited and the later weapons sprue showed up the differences. Still better than the 1973 vintage Revell version but really needs a state of the art kit to do it justice. Loads of Options (Extra) Dark Sea Grey (all over or over white), Camoflage over Light Aircraft Grey or wraparound, even Grey/green over sand/Brown camouflage for Red Flag exercises and a nice 16 squadron all black livery. Matra missiles on pylons for late versions as well.

Dare I suggest they're out there but they come in resin and at a price...! Super build.

Thanks. Looking at the pics I can see where the tanks have taken a few knocks dow the years and need refitting to close up the gap!

Would not say no to a new 1/72 Bucc, it's scope for colour schemes and markings is pretty huge.
