captain99 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 HelloI recently bought my grandson the C1319 Continental Sports Car set. Since then someone has bought him C7010 Sport Digital lane change track. My questions are:1. Are the sports set and digital compatible?2. If so does he need additional extension kit to set up a proper layout.3.As I see it I dont see how both the cars change over lanes if he manages to incoroporate the extension which he is having difficulty doing anyway.Any help would be much appreciated
Andy P. Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Hi there,The track itself is comptible insomuch as you do not need adapters for them to physically stick together. However, you will need to do a fair bit of investment to actually use the cars and track digitally:1.: You must buy a digital power base and digital controllers. There are 4 car and 6 car powerbases. As I do not personally own them someone else will have to give you the low down on those.2. The cars must be "chipped" for use on digital track so they can trigger the lane changing. The cars may my "DPR" i.e. Digital Plug Ready which means you buy a DPR chip and plug it in. If they are not you have to buy a "retro chip" and solder them into the car. Not a hug amount of effort but it does require skill. You should check out the digital section here and on other forums such as slotforum.com....
