Bendennis Castle Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Evening all, I'm looking to have my Tintagel Castle repainted as I'm not happy with Hornby's representation of GWR green. And what I'd like to know is where would be the best place to send an engine for repaint? As this is an expensive engine I'd prefer to send it to an actual company rather than just "Bob from the local pub's loco repainting service". I had initially thought of TMC but it looks like they only do weathering/detailing.CheersBen
JeremiahBunyan Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Try Lee's Locos...http://www.leeslocos.co.uk/ C R Philipshttp://www.crphillips-models.co.uk/ Ian Rathbonehttp://www.ianrathbonemodelpainting.co.uk/ Warren Haywoodhttp://www.modelrailwaypainting.co.uk/
LCDR Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I believe TMC DO do repainting, not only weathering, they call it 'customising', you could at least give them a call. Thery have an excellent reputation and as certified 'Code 3' you will be preserving the value of your model.
