2e0dtoeric Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Is it my pc again, or has the forum been changed? The whole appearance has been altered, the space the subject headers occupy has got larger, and the 'New Topic' button has been moved to the very bottom of the pages.I was going to say it was missing, until I scrolled down, looking for the 'Send' button, which has moved as well!
Rog RJ Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Keep up at the back! See https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/forum/hornby-forum-update-200116/?p=1Sorry, my links aren't clickable
2e0dtoeric Posted January 20, 2016 Author Posted January 20, 2016 Guilty as charged. I hadn't seen that. I assume the changes happened some time last night?
Rog RJ Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Happened round about 11am today onwards. There was a notice on the forum last night that changes were going to be made and that the forum would be unavailable for a while.
choralc Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 You can load a pic of yourself and put in emoticons 😎 for those who like that kind of bling and there's a Spull chucker which will underline sispect words when you click on the Toggle spell Checker icon. So no more xkewsez.
Augustus Caesar Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Not checked out all the new facilities as yet but I am sure the forum will keep growing so it keeps up with us old lags... lol especially with things like the spell checker... 😛 and the emoticons... yay 😎 Oh... and the profile pic 😮 Although after an edit they seem to have disappeared... :-(
2e0dtoeric Posted January 21, 2016 Author Posted January 21, 2016 Roj put - snipped - and that the forum would be unavailable for a while.Ah - That'll probably be why I didn't see the forum update notice, because when I first logged in, yesterday, I got error 404!
96RAF Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I was expecting the spell checker icon when clicked to highlight any errors, which it did, but I had to work out that a right click on a duff word would get me a list of alternatives, sometimes excluding the correct one (eg kist when I meant list, and forst when I meant first, neither of which were offered in lieu).
Augustus Caesar Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 You could have got away with "forst" though RAF... if you were a Geordie like my good self... 😎 wey aye man...!
Fishmanoz Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Yes, and no one seems to have noticed CS using NZ spelling above?
