GeoFF03 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I assume this is built by a younger/novice modeller, as there seems to be some assembly issues (bonnet/grill and rear panel).
Ratch Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Sorry they don't meet with your approval Geoff. Maybe you could show us how it should be built.
Pretty Mediocre Modeller Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I assume this is built by a younger/novice modeller, as there seems to be some assembly issues (bonnet/grill and rear panel).Bit rude. We're not all master builders here. Perhaps constructive critism instead of vailed insults would be better.

Maybe you could show us how it should be built. This one is still awaiting paint, and may have a long wait as the windscreen pivot snaped off while test fitting./media/tinymce_upload/80545bbd431f8139b6ec914b50c4ab31.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/421f12274697dfa113f05b1d3a83441d.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/de04fc4bbf8763726c9a26f84660a469.JPGAs you can see, the bonnet should extend slightly in front of the grill to create a small overhang. Even the Italeri quickbuild on the right of the last photo has this, as does the old Matchbox version to the rear.
genesis1210 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 its not the most accurate of jeep models but for my wargaming purposes its fine , looks the part with a wire cutter and rear mounted 50 cal.
genesis1210 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 and having seen lots of restored ones the bonnet never fits well anyway , i like the attention to detail with the markings .
