What is the largest model shop in Britain after the demise of 'Modelzone'?

I would actually consider Hannants to be at least one of the biggest in terms of selection, though in order to visit you may need to Travel a long way, that said you'll probably find everything you want there and more... of course you can visit their website and order online but its not quite the same as perusing a warehouse full of mouth watering kits with a handcart .-)

Hi Guys..I'll be popping across the pond to London for a few days soon. Can anyone recommend a shop in the city that has a good selection of kits...or around Walthamstow? Hannants might be a bit too far out of my way for this trip.

There is a branch of Hannants just around the corner from the RAF Museum at Hendon ( about 100m walk, go out the main entrance of the museum turn right and it's in a small trading estate). It's not as big as the main store, but does have a good selection of kits and accessories.

The Main Hannants site is in Oulton Broad, Lowestoft. is just a warehouse of shelves have spent ages in their when I've been.

 

According to the website they do offer the ability to advance order from the website and to pay and collect from the shop

 Plus a very nice 10% discount if you order online and collect in store - whenever I visit London, the kids have got used to the RAF museum being a required visit

Note you need to get your online order in over a week before you come in  - they get weekly drops from Lowestoft to the Hendon store
