RB51 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Having a look around one of the model shops locally yesterday I noticed that they were selling the Early BR J50 for £75. Today I went to the Hornby Store and see that there are two Early BR versions. One, R3325 at £79.99 and the other, pre-order only is R3407 at £84.99. Apart from the price and one being currently unavailable what is the difference, please? R-
VESPA Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Rog, one has a high bunker and the other a low bunker and the £/$/ Yuan rate is probably to blame and the ever deepening pockets of the model railway enthusiasts 😢
RB51 Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Well, well. Do you know Vespa, I scrutinised both images for quite some time and didn't notice that. I must get a little hand put on these glasses. Thank you. R-
Rog RJ Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 One of the pictures is an "artists impression" type of thing (R3407), the other seems to be a true picture. The safety valves and connecting rods are different between the two but this may not be what appears on the final product.R3407 isn't available yet.
RB51 Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Hmmm.... new glasses altogether I think. R-
Rog RJ Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 It's only when you put the two pictures side by side that the differences stand out.
