John Bollig Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 I have heard on other websites that Hornby is in trouble. Is this true and what are the plans to turn this around. We need airfix to continue and to keep production of high quality moderate prices model kits. I for one would like to see the company to make a new mould Hawker Hunter.
ironsides Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Everyone likes a good disaster movie! however I feel confident Hornby /Airfix will continue for many years to come, in anycase are they really likely to confirm such speculation here and fuel the medias desire for disaster...... and possibly as a result their own demise... .-)
Braille Dave Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Now David, can't you see that there is simply no contest.... 😆
feanor Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 A Hunter? Against a Weir Steam Pump Model? And why not BOTH ? (And I already knew what both were too ;) )
jopres57 Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 I haven't heard anything about Hornby being in trouble, I can't see why they should be if other plastic modelling firms are doing well. I think the answer is to make sure all Airfix fans buy at least one of all the new releases and try and install an interest for the hobby in other people. A good thing would be to stop the continual whinging and talking Hornby/Airfix down that seems to be common on these forums.
