Hornby in trouble ?

I have heard on other websites that Hornby is in trouble. Is this true and what are the plans to turn this around. We need airfix to continue and to keep production of high quality moderate prices model kits.  I for one would like to see the company to make a new mould Hawker Hunter.

Everyone likes a good disaster movie! however I feel confident Hornby /Airfix will continue for many years to come, in anycase are they really likely to confirm such speculation here and fuel the medias desire for disaster...... and possibly as a result their own demise... .-)

I haven't heard anything about Hornby being in trouble, I can't see why they should be if other plastic modelling firms are doing well. I think the answer is to make sure all Airfix fans buy at least one of all the new releases and try and install an interest for the hobby in other people. A good thing would be to stop the continual whinging and talking Hornby/Airfix down that seems to be common on these forums.
