Manufactures selling Direct to Modellers!

HORNBY sells direct to customers over the internet, phone and at its premises! This however isnt new as MACHANO LIMITED were selling direct in the fifties you could have gone into their factory in BINNS ROAD LIVERPOOL said i want that A4 gave em the cash and walked out with it! DAPOL started selling direct from 1984, PECO always did sell direct, all EUROPEAN MANUFACTURES like MARKLIN, FLEISHMANN, ROCO, PIKO, MAHANO all sell direct like HORNBY! In AMERICA you have ATHEARN, BOWSER ATLAS, WALTHERS CONCOR MODEL POWER BACHMANN all sell direct this is the norm in this industry if you had contacted a manufacture in the eighties trying to get stuff direct from them they wouldnt supply you now they all do its supply and demand and if you get models direct its alot easier although some Americian manufactures can be a pain in the arse!
