JeremiahBunyan Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Hey, I honestly don't like to complain nor do I like to see Hornby getting a mouthfull when they make an error. Yes, humans make mistakes and at the end of a day it's a hobby and not a matter of life or death. However I do like to help in advance if I can and I've stated it many times before, I don't want to bash Hornby - I just want to help them make more accurate models. So I decided to start a topic on the forums where anyone can post about things like livery errors or even errors in the models. And if they're lucky then hopefully Hornby can make the change in time. So please do contribute. I sincerely don't want this to become a bashing thread (so if you want to bash, think twice). Anyone with any help can post. Cheers!JBM
JeremiahBunyan Posted February 19, 2016 Author Posted February 19, 2016 R3388TTS Caledonian Sleeper Class 67 Hornby have already posted images of the model, I hope it isn't too late but the shade of blue is surely too light.https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/shop/new-for-2016/locomotives-train-packs/bo-bo-class-67-cairn-gorm-67004-caledonian-sleeper-with-tts-sound.html Images for comparison:-http://www.tractionsnaps.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/150712EDB67004-450x299.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5451/18904751161_13faee40d9_b.jpg
JeremiahBunyan Posted February 19, 2016 Author Posted February 19, 2016 R3475 Greater Anglia Class 90 The image posted by Hornby is indeed just an edited one and not the real model, so I hope the roof colour is correct. The shade of grey used is far too light as compared to the real thing.https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/shop/new-for-2016/locomotives-train-packs/greater-anglia-bo-bo-electric-norfolk-and-norwich-festival-90014-class-90.html Images for comparison:-https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7336/12268691645_145d5f3f44_b.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3835/14277018708_1eafdcb32d_b.jpg
JeremiahBunyan Posted February 19, 2016 Author Posted February 19, 2016 R3501 Virgin Trains East Coast Class 91, Mk.4 and DVT The shade of light grey on the Class 91, DVT and Mk.4 coaches is too dark. It's a very very light shade of grey.https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/shop/new-for-2016/locomotives-train-packs/virgin-east-coast-train-pack.html Images for comparison:-http://www.stevenknightmedia.com/uploads/6/8/4/2/6842078/4396428.jpg?530 http://www.docbrown.info/docspics/northeast/newcastle4/Img_1700.jpg
walkingthedog Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Maybe you should have called it 'I'd like to help' JBM. 😆
Fazy Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Maybe "Give us a job gov. I can do that"Ten points if you can name the tv programme and the actor
Chrissaf Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Easy peasy:"Boys from the Black Stuff" & "Yosser Hughes" played by Bernard Hill originally screened 1980....a brilliant TV drama. Up there with "The Knowledge" from the previous year 1979..
