magiver, if you can please tell us the steps you have done with each controller members will be able to offer other suggestions other than the following:

With the Elite confirm the id. of the loco by running it again (if you have changed it from the default of "3" and it does not run try "3").

If the loco does run please confirm that after pressing the Function key once the display shows F00-F09.

Then press '1' on the keypad to turn on sound and confirm that there is indeed no hiss of steam sound.

And when running with eLink and RM, can you please confirm that you have gone into Loco Setup window then called it up by the correct R number from the RM database such that you now have it on screen with all of its sound functions showing correctly in the throttle.

Another thing to keep in mind is TTS will only work properly when the controller is set for 128 speed steps. This is achieved on the Elite by following the Menu to Config and going through th esteps. There is a flow chart in the Elite manual to help prevent you getting lost.

Thanks to all. Yes I did all of the Adobe and ended up taking it back to my supplier . They also did a full range of tests and confirmed it was faulty. They replaced it straight away.

the guys at Hobbytech in Perth Western Australia were great.
