Bulver
Very good, Vespa, considering the age of the audio and film, the quality is excellent. Evokes lots of happy memories both musically and social, what a vast difference from today eh?
Rog RJ
From 18:45 to 19:20 of the second film is the Nottingham high level and low level stations. Just beyond the bridge was my grandfather's house which was owned by the Boots company. The (old) Boots factory is on the right beyond the high level station. On the other side of the road (London Rd) beyond the bridge there is the Boots company's own power station which is now part of the Nottingham district heating system which supplies a large part of the St Ann's area of the city and the Victoria shopping centre and flats, built on the site of the old Victoria station. 2e0dtoeric
Nice find. I hate to admit it, but I knew all those songs! (I must be old!)That clip with the Deltic at Vulcan bank. Was that renamed Vulcan Halt after that clip was made? Or was V Bank the box name? That was the Vulcan works behind, unmistakable!
