I don't ramble on I build models of aircraft associated with Northamptonshire (where I live). There were 16 airfields in the county during WW2, mostly OTUs but a few operational with both RAF and USAAF and I try to build aircraft that either flew from the county or presentation aircraft, for which the funds were raised in the county and named after local towns or businesses. I do this by sourcing after market decals or by generating my own artwork. I do not have the capability to produce my own decals, but modelling friends have provided me with decals or masks to fill gaps in my collection. This started with me researching my grandfather's role in the RAF (he was stationed at Sywell before duties in Malta and Italy) and expanded to encompass the whole county.

Thanks for the feedback on my paintwork.

Nice build!  We're clipped wings out of the box or modified by you?  I like how aggressive a clipped wing Spitfire looks compared to it graceful elliptical winged stablemate.

Thanks I did the surgery to clip the wings. Sorry I missed your question earlier.
