bryan_howieson
Hello, I recently purchased some of the newer K type Pullman coaches. I would like to dismantle the coaches, particularly the Brake R4662, and would like some advice on how this can be done. I note that there seem to be some clips in each corner of the chassis but there are also four screws. I would like to be able to add an operating taillight and some passengers. With thanks for any assistance.Cheers,Bryan.
Bulleidboy
Hi BryanTry Google - "Dismantling Hornby Pullman coaches" - it will take you to several sites where there are explanations on how to do this. It may be on this site, but it could be a long search. BB
Wobblinwheel
I have one of these, and have removed the shell sometime ago. Don't remember having to remove any screws. Two clear plastic clips at each end, and two in the middle, if I remember correctly. Those things are never easy, if you ask me....and they should be! 96RAF
If it looks anything like this non Pullman then you prise the 4 corner clips (circled in red) inwards and press them into the body. The screws you can see in the picture hold the coupling cam mechanism in and don't need to be removed - again it may not be the same as yours. In this example the bogie has been popped out for the photo but you usally undo the clips with a suitable tool. /media/tinymce_upload/a8c08309f79ff79d1ef69e4502e6e8d3.jpg
