Pete172 Posted March 14, 2016 Author Share Posted March 14, 2016 Hi all, Just thought I would update you on progress today.I de-registered and re-registered RM from old to new PC without a hitch at all.I also copied my Resources & .pln files onto the new PC and everything seems fine !No problems with firewalls, I am just using Microsoft WIndows Defender and Windows Firewall, they both let my PC communicate correctly with RM for activation etc.I still need to look at my .ini file again, to change the odd setting, but I am confident it will work now. Under Windows 10, Windows Defender is a full featured AV product. In pre Win 8 PCs, Windows Defender had limited AV features and not considered adequate protection on its own..It seems strange to me that Microsoft kept the 'Defender' name in the Win 8 / 10 version as the two versions of 'Defender' are completely different products. In Win 8 / 10, 'Windows Defender' superseded Microsoft's 'Security Essentials' their previous free AV product. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
