End of Concession Exclusives and web only specials

Perhaps it has gone away in its current 'fire sale' form though...

I notice that that the Eurostar e300 Class 373 Blue Livery 4-Car Train Pack, which was in the last chance to buy section at a discounted price, is still available at full price (and I'm sure there are others too) so it would appear that Last Chance to buy hasn't gone because everything there has been sold.

Whilst this is great that Concession Exclusives and web only specials are ending. The only fly in the onitment is that as remarked about elsewhere Model shops are also closing down like there's no tomorrow too 🤔 😢.

Well it seems even Members only models are being sold by Retailers and at lower prices than on offer to Hornby Club members. So much for Hornby Club Membership.

I just purchased a couple of exclusive locomotives only to now find them available cheaper from a retailer. The one good point is that we can save on Hornby Club membership there is little point in renewing.

The disappearance of Last Chance to Buy just serves to emphasise the oddity I highlighted on the Lima thread last week:

How about a game of spot the difference!

Lima: HL8003

Hornby: R8263

Now, aside from the imagery and rather gobsmacking difference in price (excluding the "Last Chance to Buy" discount on R8263), is there actually any difference between these two?  😛

Still struggling to understand how the apparent exact same product can have over a 100% differential in RRP under different catalogues!  😮

*Under Last Chance to Buy the Hornby version was discounted to about £5.

That's a bit naughty. Which ones where?

R3250 Flying Scotsman, priced by Rails of Sheffield at £124.50 whereas Hornby were asking £130 I see Hornby are now out of stock of this model. As of now it appears it is still available with Rails. Also asking For pre orders for Duchess of Hamilton at £134.50. Also R3338 is on offer at £124.50.

Apart from the base on the Hornby version being in one piece they looks the same.
