chriskits51
I had an airfix fn rifle as a child in the 60"s.not sure what happend to it.Proberly broke and got thrown away.came across one about 20 years ago in a s/c hand shop whilst looking for old model kits.bought a few old airfix kits including airfix war in the pacific kit, which is quite rare now.also bought an airfix fn rifle still attached to its card and un played with.Wasnt quite sure about as it was made in Israel but bought it anyway.I think it was about £70,a lot of money then.I havent seen it for a while as its burried under a load of kits. Will have to dig it out after seeing that one on ebay for lots of money and make sure it hasnt got damaged.I intend to keep it along with my other rare kits airfix and others.I also have an airfix violin. Not sure how rare it is but Ive never seen another one.Would be interested if anyone has any information on the airfix violin or has an airfix fn rifle made in Israel like mine.Chriskits51
Howard Wright1707820367
I don't have a made in Israel version, but I do have a very rare made in US version. In the early sixties, Airfix first released the Attack Force vehicles which were licensed (I presume) from T. Cohn in the US. I have a carded copy of the Airfix FN rifle which was sold by T. Cohn. I would imagine it may have been a quid pro quo deal for the plastic tanks. Anyone know for sure?
Howard Wright1707820367
PS my original Airfix UK version was lost in a Caravan Park in Wales circa 1965-somebody jumped on it!
