john_goodwin1
Yet another loco purchased with that damned plug that connects loco to the tender. Princess Arthur of Connaught test run on rolling road and when trying to put away in the box the sodding plug was so tight 2 wires pulled from the plug!!. Is there any way to easily put these plugs in and out?.Another repair to pay for unless Hornby can help.

Yelrow
When so many posts wrongly get held/ pulled for aleedged profanity, how in our lords name did that one get through. mjb1961
Hi ,They are a pain ,I chose to leave them connected because of this happening ,you have to cut out some of the polystyrene to get the loco and tender back in but it does prevent any pulled out wires ,,,,,,,,
john_goodwin1
thanks for all the advice, esecially the extraction tool, never heard of it!!The spare part for the plug and wire, is it easy to fix??
mjb1961
Hi ,the replacement plug with wires will probably need soldering at the motor end ,even useing the extraction tool can be tricky and if you are going to be plugging and unplugging because of a lot of use your bound to have more pulled out wires ,your best bet is to leave them plugged together at all times if possible ,,,,,
