There are some great subjects out there, past and present and the WW2 US aircraft are getting a welcome new lick of paint with releases. My own interest is Cold War jets (mainly) and am probably about to rekindle my WW2 vehicles when I introduce my children to Airfix Battles. I would love to see Cold War classics like the Mirage 3, 4, 2000 and Rafale  MiG 15, 21 and 25 as well as Badger, Backfire and Blackjack bombers to go along with the soon to be completed V-Force, and some of the latest Sukhoi aircraft alongside American greats like the F14, F15 and F16 (and the earlier Delta Dart, Starfighter etc.) to go with the new A4 and F86 tools. Maybe some extra boxings with non-native markings alongside an extra option for the original operator.

WW2 Normandy is ripe for new tools. A Sherman (and Firefly) and Panzer 4 are essential as well as a Stug 3, Churchill and some of the smaller recon vehicles to join the Cromwell and Bedford Trucks. New PAK 40, 6 pdr and 25 pdr tools (maybe a new Flak 88) would be welcome along with figures to really get the wargames collections going. After that look at Eastern Front (T34) and Western Desert Matildas, Honeys, Pz3s and Long Range Desert Group vehicles. One advantage of getting new Shermans and Pz3/4 into the tools is that these are the basis of a huge number of vehicles. Given the target audience for Battles these should be aimed at Series 1 (2 at the outside) and serious consideration be given to making the figures suitable for painting (soft plastic is a nuisance). Serious attention needs to be given to markings as gamers might want several minor variants in the same unit (so up to about 4 serials for each unit option - so an extra 6ish decals per unit on each sheet which, given the small numbers on AFVs compared to aircraft stencilling shouldn't be too bad).
