sparrow hawk
Just noticed another post about the quality of the DCC socket on the forum.I Had the issue with the wires sqaused under the socket, causing a short and blowing the Decoder. in King ClassTwo more posts one for the Drummand and one for the castle. with issues with the socket.Does anyone at hornby check, the forum and report back on Issues found to the factory? It does look like there could be a quality issue with the production.
Jimbo1707820979
Just out of curiosity. Can anyone confirm that for "DCC fitted" locos the fitting of the chip is done at Hornby, not in China ?
Rog RJ
The decoder is almost certainly fitted on the production line, wherever that maybe.
96RAF
Echo Rog in that the decoder is almost certainly fitted on the Chinese line rather than by/at Hornby later in the supply chain.
Fishmanoz
Would cost a fortune to unpack a loco, remove the body, fit the decoder and test, versus fit the decoder instead of a blanking plate on the line, cross your figures and hope it works.
