Pretty Mediocre Modeller
Very nicely done Ian. Who's paint did you use for the finish?
Ian Price1707820036
Very nicely done Ian. Who's paint did you use for the finish? The top was Tamiya paint and the underneath was Model Air by Vallejo then a few coats of Klear, decals and Klear again. Finishing off with an oil wash then Xtractlylic matt varninish to tone it down
DavidJC
Beautifully done. I know you used Tamiya paints (as I do) but what specific colours did you use? And, how did you do the masking?
Rael
Nice! Is that freehand painting of the shark mouth around the air intake? If so, its really good!Happy building!
Discostu
Top build of a classic WW2 fighter! Probably my favourite plane. Can't wait for the 1/48 Airfix p40 later in the year. Cheers, Stuart.
Matthew72
Very nice! I especiially like the Curtiss Hawk series in Commonwealth liveries and one can never miss with a shark mouth on the large nose scoop. Love the paint and weathering job too. Ian Price1707820036
Beautifully done. I know you used Tamiya paints (as I do) but what specific colours did you use? And, how did you do the masking? Thanks David. I am at work at the moment but I will let you know the Tamiya clours tomorrow when I get up. As for the masking I did the canopy first with Tamiya Tape then I primed the kit. I then sprayed Vallejo Model Air Azure Blue on the undersurfaces and masked the edges of the wings, etc. For the camuflage itself I sprayed it freehand as I find that easier.
