Peter Ruifrok
I use double headers succesfully from the main screen but fail to see how I could program the same. I have resorted to starting and stopping the two locs 0.05 sec after each other while giving them the same speed (they are physically attached) and this works okay but was wondering if there exists a more elegant method. 96RAF
In theory (and practice) programming is only a macro that you can edit later i.e. a recording of key strokes so there is no reason why you should not be able to 'go through the motions' as it where to set up a double header in real time and then save that recording and look at 'what it wrote for you' to gain insight into if you can/can't set up a DH in programs. We may all learn from your experiences.
Peter Ruifrok
Good idea! I will give it a go and report back!
Peter Ruifrok
It does exactly what I have done: it sets the direction and speeds of both locs identically. It does so however at either exactly the same time, or sometimes at slightly different times. Using always 0.05 secs seems better.
Fozzy Bear
I have only tried double heading once and I was sure that it just linked the engines so that the commands given to either, went to both. If you just put one engine in your program,, then the other engine should follow the program as well.
