Recommended Posts

I desperatley need help

When I was a child many years ago my father bought me this kit :-

I am trying now to rebuild it but it is nigh on impossible to find this kit anywhere and when you do - the price is in excess of £200 !!!

So - plan B

I managed to pick up an original boxed Ariel Arrow complete form ebay very cheaply

Then I got a motorcycle rider from Tamiya which suits as the body

My only problem now is the head

I cannot find any such model helmet anywhere for the size required so I am trying to make one from scratch - an old plastic Christmas Christmas tree decoration ball is a good start

I shall try and mould the face from FIMO clay - not very easy

Unless anyone has other bright ideas?????

Or if anyone has such a figure hidden away in the attic I would be very interested !!

Or if Airfix would only re-release this Kit?

I shall post more as I progress

Regards

I managed to find and buy the complete and unused model and a very reasonable price !

Cant wait now to finish it and take a trip down memory lane

Wow! Memories. Memories . .

Looking good so far, looking forwards to seeing Tony on it.

Remeber building this Ariel Arrow when it first appeared. Also remember seeing the real thing smoking down the roads. Matter of interest Tony would never be able to be ton-up on the arrow, top speed if my memiory serves my was in the region of 75 mph. in those days that was pretty good fo a 250cc.

Remember we do this for fun   John the Pom
