Howbi Posted June 26, 2016 Share Posted June 26, 2016 Not seen that before, the established NMRA spec for DCC decoder is Orange wire for pin1 (motor)...........if you have purchased this decoder with the pink wire on pin 1 from a retailer I would take it back and get a correct replacement.........it's not worth taking a chance by plugging it in........HB Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
96RAF Posted June 26, 2016 Share Posted June 26, 2016 Pink is probably just faded orange.I would see what the other 7 colours are and make a reasoned judgement of if pink was actually orange.Its a simple enough task to trace each wire to its source and confirm its use.The standard 8 pin decoder config is easy enough to follow - find it on the diagram on the Hornby DCC conversions page.
