millest
hi i am in the proccess of at the moment building a new train set and board i am at the point of ordering extra needed track for the project, at this point i have worked out how much track ill need for one full loop with what i have and worked out what i will then need left. with what i have worked out i have found out that in Hornby train track i can't get everything i need in the right size with hornby so i need to order new track with another company that has the sizes i need. the company i found that does the track in sizes i need is Marklin i was just wondering if i used Marklin & Hornby track on the same loop if they would be compattable together. 96RAF
As long as you can join them together with a suitable fishplate or adaptor and the rail tops are at the same height and the profile is similar and the sleepers end up at around the same level and match reasonably well, then you can use any rail you have to hand. poliss
Will Marklin track be suitable RAF? I thought the two outer rails were connected, so that they are the same polarity, while the opposite polarity is the cenre stud contacts?
poliss
Have you looked at Trix track billymill? same company as Marklin, but their track is standard 2 rail polarity with no third rail stud contact.

81F
If it is a larger radius curve you want you could use flexible track.
Ruffnut Thorston
Did not Marklin make 2-rail stuff as well? The name "Hamo" comes to mind..... 🤔
trainlover23
Did not Marklin make 2-rail stuff as well? The name "Hamo" comes to mind..... 🤔Years ago Maerklin sold their two rail items under the Hamo label. Originally produced models of trams and Maerklin used the naame after acquiring them . They now own Trix so all 2 rail is marketed under the Trix banner but I don`t think they make track although I could be wrong

poliss
It is if you cut the sticky out bits off. That's what I did with my N scale track of different brands. 😆
