Chrissaf
A more powerful integrated CDU or item 2 below instead. The ability to optionally use an external higher voltage DC power source to fire a solenoid point via the integrated CDU, retaining the DCC input purely for digital control. An optional manual switch override input to allow manual switching of points in parallel with DCC control. Auxiliary changeover metallic path contacts (one set per port) for use with either signals or live switched frogs (I appreciate that the live frog switching feature would not be applicable to current Hornby brand points, thus could be blocked by Hornby 'Marketing' on the basis of that would be supporting competitors track products). Support for slow action motorised point motors that require voltage polarity reversal to function (again, potentially blocked by Hornby Marketing as seen as a feature for supporting competitors products). However, that said. Tortoise Motor (type) seem to be loosing favour, and largely superseded by Cobalt IP Digitals and/or Servo based actuators. So not a high priority. 96RAF
This was definitely selected for dcc forum but ended up here so I have reported it to Adam to see if there is a forum fault. thanks Chris some interesting feature requests..Rob
St1ngr4y
A "learn" switch to be able to program its lowest address on the main rather than the programming track.Ray
poliss
If I were to buy slow motion point motors, Chris, then I'd buy the Circuitron Smail and not the lower quality Australian knockoffs.
2e0dtoeric
Re Chrissaf's item 5. This could also be used for semaphore or led signals, where a constant supply is required, rather than a brief pulse.
