Correl
Hi I am wondering if it is possible to use a dc controller to control railmaster I have a elink controller and railmaster I would like maybe using something like a Raspberry Pi to control the speed of a train faster slower stop with a manual controller from a DC controller as my 4 year old son likes to play with trains with me and he cannot work the mouse very well however I have a radio-controlled Thomas dc controller that I can convert for the challenge all my trains are dcc and I'm not sure why but none of them seem to work on DC track does anyone know how to do it if so would love to hear from you
Howbi
Buy a second hand Select controller for him to use but only when Elink disconnected.
96RAF
If your dcc equipped locos wont run on dc then check cv29 to see if dc running is disabled. DCC locos will run on dc no problem, but not the other way round unless you like seeing smoke from your locos motors.

Icurus
CV29 is a collection of settings, this link might help :) http://www.2mm.org.uk/articles/cv29%20calculator.htm
Fozzy Bear
HI CorrelFor DCC to run on DC, CV 29 must be set to
Chrissaf
For DCC to run on DC, CV 29 must be set to 6correctionFor DCC to run on DC, CV 29 can be set to 6."must" infers that 6 is the ONLY value that enables DC operation. 6 is a very common value for CV29, but there are other decimal values that also enable DC operation. As Icurus suggested, check out the online CV29 calculator. I have converted his URL to a clickable one below for your convenience..http://www.2mm.org.uk/articles/cv29%20calculator.htm
Fozzy Bear
For DCC to run on DC, go in forward direction, not use Railcom, have a short address and use a simple speed curve ,CV 29 should be set to 6. Hows that? 😉It is probably set to 6 by default anyway
Fishmanoz
6 is 128 speed steps (2) and DC running (4), nothing more, nothing less. DC running will be on for CV29 values of 4, 5, 6, 12, 20 and 36.
