roythegrass Posted October 7, 2016 Share Posted October 7, 2016 I’m currently using a Select controller and have been a tad disappointed by its limitations – unable to access sounds beyond F8, unable to adjust volume, unable to change address codes on some US and European locos and being non NMRA compliant to name but a few.I’m thinking of asking Father Christmas (aka the better half) for the Hornby Elite. 96RAF Posted October 7, 2016 Share Posted October 7, 2016 Yes Roy - latest Elite version is v1.42.You could get your Select updated by Hornby to v1.5 for around 15GBP but that whilst allowing you to access all sound functions will not make it anymore capable with regard to changing CVs, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
