If a loco has lights regardless of whether it has sound or not, then F0 = Lights on/off would be stated on the loco documentation Function list.

Since I wrote and I quote: "....type in the features & sounds for each function as listed on your loco documentation." then F0 lights is a Function feature that would be included on the loco documentation and thus covered by the text I wrote.

But you are correct. A function, any function, cannot work unless it is added to the RM loco function column. For NON sound locos there may be other functions other than F0 for lights. There may be for example  F(n) for interior lights or cab lights. There may be other functions F(n) such as for invoking 'shunt mode'. These should still be listed on the loco documentation and therefore written into the RM function column in order to be operational. Note: (n) just represents any appropriate function number applicable to a specific loco decoder as specified on the loco documentation.
