wijnands
I just finished my last airfix kit in the stash, A01003, the hawk81(looks like a P-40b to me). I didnt do much to it since i was in the mood for a quick and easy build.Fun little kit that doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves. Fits quite well, should make a fine starter kit and someone more skills than me should be able to do really well with it.2 Slight issues1. The nose cover needs attention to fit2. Decals are of the really thick variety, took 4 rounds of microsol to get them to conform a bit. Definitely recommend

peebeep
81 is Curtiss' own model number. In USAAF service it was P-40B/C and in RAF/RACAF service it was Tomahawk.
Pretty Mediocre Modeller
Fits quite well, should make a fine starter kit and someone more skills than me should be able to do really well with it.It is in a starter set as the British Tomahawk IIb, and also with the Zero and Kate as the Pearl Harbour set as a P-40B. MiracleMasks
Yes, its a very nice kit, I used it to develope my camouflage masks for the P-40 and then I couldn't resist finishing it and painting it. I did, of course paint maost of the markings on 😉Nice build there 😆
