The information printed on the instruction sheet gives little in the way of clues as to a period that this vehicle is representative of; vaguely mentioning the Great War and the Blitz of Coventry in 1941. The crews’ helmets appear to be Victorian, Merryweather type from 1901, in use until the mid-1930s. I didn’t wash the runners because I thought that after thirty years any residual mould release agent would have evaporated.
Ratch
Engine assembled http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24741124/412950857.jpg Assembly to stage 2. The instructions say silver, but I chose Vallejo Model Air 71073 Black (Metallic), Vallejo Model Air 71072 Gun (Metallic), Vallejo Model Air 71063 Silver (Metallic) and Vallejo Model Air 71069 Rust (Metallic)http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24741124/412950858.jpg Sorry about the focus. The figures (like the bus) are a bit crude, the driver's left hand is a stumphttp://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24741124/412950859.jpg I remembered I had some Airwaves AEM034 Floor Plate Waffle Pattern and decided to use this on the footplatehttp://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24741124/412950862.jpg The chassis, sprayed Vallejo Model Air 71057 Black and the footplate silverhttp://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL761/13303934/24741124/412950863.jpg
Kenneth ONeill
The colours in the destructions may date from the old Airfix paints range, which was limitted to say the least?
