walkingthedog
It's too late for Black Friday and too early for next year. Hopefully it won't exist in the UK next year. 😆
IntercityModelRail
Yes hopefully it won't exist WTD. Just shows humanity at it's worst level, fighting over TVs, computers etc. Awful. 😢
walkingthedog
Ooh thank you IMR, I thought I was going to be shot down 😆
Yelrow
Intercity model Rail This is a Small Model shop who twice a year in march and November has Genuine 50% sales, with model reverting to full price afterwards. If you had taken the trouble to look, before condemming out of hand, as others have done, you might have found it worth your while. I will not bother again. john
Yelrow
Wtd, i did at least think people would do the courteous thing, and have a look. These reductions are particularly generous for a small shop. john
walkingthedog
John I didn't look because it was Black Friday, I hate it. Please take note of the smiley face at the end of my post, you know me well enough to know when I'm joking, and the smiley face definitely endorses that. Next time I'll put 'I'm joking' 😆 😆 (2 smiley faces)
Yelrow
WTD, i was aware of your smiley face, but still think there may be some thing of interest to you. There are some Heljan diesels, Bachmann steamers, without the hornby stuff. I could call it a Genuine Model shop sale, if tha would appease your dislike of Noir Vendredi. john
walkingthedog
John I apologise I think I was looking at the wrong section. Blimey they really are cheap.

37lover
Thank you for posting and I hope you will continue to bring notification of discounts and bargains to the forum. I've just bought a long sought after Hornby Brighton Belle, which is nothing to do with Christmas presents, so I'm under the spotlight and can't buy anything else for at least a few days. The Eurostar looks very inviting.
Yelrow
37 lover, hi, which brighton belle, and where did you buy it. john. PS, you are very welcome
RDS
Thanks John. I must say I don't like Black Friday principle either but I just got a bargain.
IntercityModelRail
I really should make it clear here now that I find sales are fine. All that I do not like is the idea that peaople will willingly fight each other to get a deal such as this, as seen in previous years. I have also taken a look now at the website - very tempting! Ullswater
I'm afraid I don't John - brought up in Kent and now live in Buckinghamshire! But my wife and I had our first holiday together camping at Ullswater and we have had many happy family camping holidays there since. We named our house Ullswater - and it's my screen name on pretty much everything ....
Bulver
Looks like a great shop, John, wish we had one like that in our area. Sadly, already ordered too many items, so will have a look again in March. Thanks for letting us know about this Rod

Ullswater
A very nice part of the world! My son is at RGS in High Wycombe so we're often very close to Hazlemere and we also often walk our dogs (!) at Hughenden.Seriously off topic now :-)
