duncan_kirby
This is a very useful piece of track for creating more complex layouts, please do not discontinue it.
Blagard
So is the C8200 between them they allow freestyle circuits to be lined up to meet at the ends! Not sure if there is a risk of C8236 being pulled though!
Blagard
So is the C8200 between them they allow freestyle circuits to be lined up to meet at the ends! Not sure if there is a risk of C8236 being pulled though!Just noticed the C8236 it is sold out and scalextric advise no new stock coming in! As the special short straight it is the 78mm long straight and the C8200 is the 87mm quarter straight that 9mm difference is one I frequently need to close when doing a freestyle time of layout. While the C8200 is still there, on its own I think it has limited application. It also makes me winder why scalectric don't push out information why those two parts are so important. RikoRocket_slotforum
Really???? This is an essential track piece for anyone recreating all the old circuits, but more importantly for a rug-racer like me it allows a track to be built and the lengths tweaked to make it join up. That 9mm difference is a big thing when it comes to continuity...
duncan_kirby
This newly developed modular circuit system designed to use Scalextric track uses C8236 Short Straight in 70% of the modules http://phantomdrum.co.uk/scalexracer/j-trak/
bryan_berwick
The short straight is an essential piece of track for freestyle carpet and semi permament table layouts. We who built vintage layouts with the old classic track always used several classic short straights in our layouts. To discontinue the short sport track piece is insane. jason_b
The Short Straight C8236 might seem insignificant at first glance, but if you want to develop more interesting, more flowing, and more organic track designs then it's absolutely vital, along with the C8200 Quarter Straight.I've bought Scalextric for many years, but other manufacturers now sem to be offering more track options.
