Mechano limited in Liverpool had a factory in Binns Road and people could walk in there and buy their models direct from there but thats all gone now as i know Hornby should turn its Factory into the HORNBY MUSEUM OF MODEL RAILWAYS so many historic places no longer exist and this factory in margate can be the place we can see the older models made as the once were in the factory where it was done sixty years ago as not everything needs to be made in China! So lets make sure the factory becomes the model mecca where the history of Mechano, Triang, Hornby, Corgi and everything else are brought to life where it all began and not destroyed forever like the old BINNS ROAD factory was!
