37lover
I've got one of the R3394TTS on pre-order, can anyone confirm the price was £99.99? It is now £109.99, and no I'm not complaining just want peace of mind!

37lover
Chrissaf, Thanks; I've just placed another pre-order with hattons. They do say they will email if the price changes so could be cheaper even when paying their £4 PP.
Hairy
37L, if when you pre-ordered the loco it was priced at £99.99, it will, according too Hornbys pre-order price guarantee, it will still be priced at £99.99. Visit the pre-order page for full details. Kind regardsChris
37lover
Hairy,Thanks, I'd forgotten that! When I navigate I usually side-step the home page so haven't seen the promise for some time.
Arthur doughnut
Got mine for £89 ,bargain eh?.......except it doesn,t run on my main track with a Dynamis controller ,and runs with no functions on my Hornby Select test track . I ordered it in April 2016 ,waited for 15 months for it to arrive and its going back the same day with no chance of a replacement as they have all sold out .Disappointed beyond belief . 96RAF
I see this TTS model is sold out on pre-order so has anyone else apart from Arthur got or had one and can say what they think of it.Rob
Bigskybirds
Hi Rob I ran a friends on my layout but it is very basic with little body detail and the sound is not really comparable to the twenties I see pass me every day on the mainline. It would have been better if they had updated the body with a bit more detail. I would not buy one for myself.
37lover
Rob,Mine arrived last week but is still in the box; too busy with DIY, trying to keep the garden in check, and attempting to improve my golf swing. Hopefully will open the box and give it a run this coming weekend
37lover
Arthur,I'm not sure how you managed to get one for £89 but if you still want one there are several for sale on Ebay for around £100.Rob,I still haven't run mine but I have opened the box and concur with HFM about the basic body, I would go further and say very, very basic - almost crude. Quite disappointing and I'm actually thinking of returning. Yes, I know it's a Railroad item but I've several other Railroad items and they have far better detail. I could fit lights but alongside my Bachmann Class 20's it would look very much the "toy" and out of place.
Bigskybirds
@37lover I am glad someone else agrees with me for a change. 😉 I do not think you will be impressed with the sound if you run it but let us know.

37lover
In the end I returned un-used as I couldn't bring myself to accept the plain body & chassis. Hornby CustomerCare were very helpful dealing with the return.
walkingthedog
The CL20 body doesn't have a lot of detail in real life but the models chassis looks almost as if there is something missing.
