The Captain90
Hope I describe this so it can be understood. I have now installed and fitted point motors (& associated wiring) to 8 electrofrog points (16 to go). All are working fine except for a minor issue with the last one installed. When I click on the appropriate icon on the layout mimic plan the point changes fine but the blue line within the point graphic doesn't move - it stays in the one direction regarless of the point change.I have deleted the point and the point change arrows from the plan and reinserted but to no avail.Any thoughts as to whats happening. RB51
Morning Captain. Usually this is because the point icons (red and green buttons) are not correctly aligned with the point they operate. They have to exactly sit over a crossover in the grid. Try removing them and putting them back but this time move the red button (with your mouse) to the centre of the point itself and then let go. You should find that it will correctly snap to the correct location and the green button will follow suit. R-
The Captain90
Thanks Roger. Already did as you suggested but to be certain did it again. Didn't fix the issue except the blue line is now pointing in the opposite direction.
RB51
Odd. May I suggest saving your layout plan, closing the design window and closing RM. Re-boot RM and try again. Very often, for reasons that escape me, this sometimes works. R-
The Captain90
Thanks again Roger. Being a computer user for 20+ years turning it off and on was the first thing tried.
St1ngr4y
Is the point concerned close to another point on your diagram? If so, is it possible to adjust your diagram by inserting another piece between them to widen the gap? Which "zoom" level are you using? If 100%, try 150% to see if that makes a difference.Ray

RB51
It would be frustrating to have no response, but it is a busy time of year for folk - and there is a lot of 'flu about. R-
Chrissaf
I have answered many Captain questions I have found him reliable in coming back to reply, but he does sometimes take a few days to do so..Captain is in OZ (summer there at present) doubt that flu would be the reason. 😉 😆
RB51
True - but they did have a 12 month 'flu Pandemic - ending somewhere around Dec 1918. 😎 R-

Dazzler down under
I had this problem, spacing the points further apart as suggested solved it. if the point buttons are too close to another point they get confused, and you have to place the red button on the centre of the point when adding the buttons and the green should snap into place, if it doesn't then the points are still too close. You will need to adjust your track plan to accomodate extra straights so you can stagger the points out a bit.
Fishmanoz
You only ever need one extra track piece to achieve separation. The logic is that they mustn't click into final position over the top of each other, not even one button over the top of another.
The Captain90
Chaps (or Ladies). Yes I am still here but have been very busy over Christmas to try the suggested solutions. Will do so over the next few days and report back.Just as an aside here in my part of OZ its been very extreme temperature wise - 42C+ (or 103F in the old money). This has caused some problems with the real railway in that tracks have warped or engines failed due to heat. My job is that of a Coach Driver so I have spent time in the last week driving coaches to replace trains. My last trip involved replacing the train from Newcastle to Moree (NSW) a distance of 500klm or 310miles). Might seem like a lot of work but I only carried 39 pax and did 4 stops.
