Wincanton Central
Although I have several 2Bils and 2Hals, and excellent they are too, I have just acquired my first DCC Fitted version - R3162AX. I use an NCE Power Pro DCC system. Everything worked fine, until out of curiousity I tried the horn/whistle button on the Power Cab which activated instant full speed in reverse on this model. Fortunately the Power Cab has an emergency stop button, so multiple model injuries were averted. Has anyone else encountered strange DCC activity with any of these or other Hornby DCC Fitted locos or MUs, or have any idea why this one acts in this way ? Fishmanoz
Hi WC, welcome to the forums. No idea why it should be so but DCC locos taking off flat out in any direction sounds like DC Runaway where the DCC signal is misinterpreted as a DC signal. Try turning off DC Running in CV29 by subtracting 4 from its current value (default likely to be 6). If you aren't sure about this, check out the CV29 calculator at 2mm.org.uk
